Data Center Cable Technician

We're hiring multiple Cable Technicians to join a large data center team in Hermiston, OR for a great opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and decommission data center network and cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber systems
  • Perform cable routing, termination, splicing, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools
  • Install and support structured cabling systems such as ladder racking, seismic bracing, and live service upgrades
  • Read blueprints and technical documentation; coordinate with teams and provide project status updates
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards while maintaining organized work areas
  • Complete physical tasks in data center environments, including lifting equipment, pulling cable, and climbing ladders

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic; ability to perform physical work including climbing ladders, assembling server cabinets, and cabling
  • Previous experience as a data center technician, cable technician, telecom worker, or electrician apprentice is a plus
  • Cabling experience (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, copper, punch downs) preferred; no license required
  • Low voltage experience is a plus
  • Data center or construction site experience is a plus
  • Must have steel-toed boots and some of your own hand tools
  • Must be willing to obtain OSHA 10 and Scissor Lift certification prior to starting

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule

This is a contract position based in Kennewick, WA. Work is fully onsite.
