About the role

The Infrastructure Cable Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting copper and fiber cable infrastructure in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing the installation of servers and network equipment, structured cabling, and project work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect, and troubleshoot cabling
  • Install and maintain copper and fiber cable infrastructure
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Ensure compliance with all installation practices and report status via ticketing system, status reports, email, and Slack
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Maintain accurate records and document problems and processes to successfully draft and execute changes within data centers
  • Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness
  • Work with a partner to move integrated enterprise equipment from loading docks into planned positions
  • Manage, check, and coordinate all materials to be delivered to site daily
  • Carry a cell phone for communication, information, and emergencies

Requirements

  • Structured cabling experience, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of copper and fiber infrastructure
  • Expertise in Cat5/6 and fiber installation, termination, patch panel setup, and cable testing using Fluke and OTDR tools
  • Experience in telecommunications or similar industrial/production environments (e.g., data centers, warehouses, distribution centers)
  • Strong operational, logistics, and troubleshooting capabilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. Schedule

Work schedule: Sun–Wed or Wed–Sat, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
