Data Center Cable Installation Technician

About the role

Looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Install Technician. Our Infrastructure team is responsible for day-to-day installation of servers and network equipment structured cabling project work and capacity management. This technician will also be involved with installation of structured cabling management of infrastructure inventory levels physical installation of network and server racks and/or devices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cable vendors to install inspect and troubleshoot cabling
• Installation and maintenance of copper and fiber cable infrastructure
• Install, test and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling including patch panels and patch cords
• Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices
• Report current status via ticketing system status reports email and slack
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
• Maintain accurate records and document problems and processes to successfully draft and execute changes within data centers
• Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness
• Work with a partner to move integrated enterprise equipment from loading docks into planned positions
• Manage check and coordinate all materials to be delivered to site daily

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
