About the role

The Data Center Operations team at CoreWeave is responsible for ensuring our mission-critical data centers operate with exceptional reliability, security, and performance. As a Data Center Technician Apprentice, you'll gain practical experience in a cutting-edge AI cloud environment, developing the technical skills needed to support enterprise-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server, networking, and hardware issues in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Provide hands-on technical support alongside experienced data center technicians and engineers.
  • Assemble, rack, cable, and install enterprise-grade servers, networking equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform hardware upgrades, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacements to maximize system reliability.
  • Learn to automate operational tasks by developing or modifying scripts that support server and network operations.
  • Investigate hardware and software failures, perform root cause analysis, and help implement long-term solutions.
  • Follow industry-leading safety, security, and operational best practices while working in a mission-critical data center.

Requirements

  • No prior professional experience in data centers is required.
  • A strong interest in technology, a willingness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and a foundational understanding of hardware components.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs and work in a physically active environment.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Comfortable working in climate-controlled environments (hot and cold aisles, 60°F–90°F).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $25/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

This apprenticeship is full-time and includes varied schedules, including nights and weekends.

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency.
