Data and Production Services Technician

About the role

The role involves providing technical support and maintenance for data and production systems. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to data and production systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and security checks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and functionality
• Document procedures and best practices for system maintenance and troubleshooting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in IT support or system administration
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Experience with common IT tools and software, including but not limited to Windows/Linux operating systems, network management tools, and database management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Experience with cloud-based services and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
