About the role
The Data and Digital Resource Coordinator supports Cumberland Valley School District's Technology Department by assisting with the implementation, maintenance, and effective use of district software applications, student information systems, learning systems, and digital resources. This position provides application support, troubleshooting, training, roster and data coordination, user account and licensing support, usage reporting, and related documentation. The role also supports data-informed decision making and cross-trains to serve as a backup to the Database Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Supports district staff in the use of student information systems, learning management systems, content management systems, and other core and supplemental digital resources.
- Troubleshoots application issues, supports help desk requests, maintains user accounts and licenses, coordinates roster and data syncing processes, assists with data imports and exports, prepares user training and reference materials, and supports local and state reporting needs.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three years of experience working with software applications and help desk support required.
- Knowledge of student information systems, learning systems, software applications, database systems, data flows, data security, and data manipulation techniques preferred.
- Strong knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
- Comfort working in web-based environments and with student and staff personally identifiable information.
- Ability to troubleshoot application-related issues, identify problems, and recommend practical solutions.
- Able to organize work, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear documentation and training materials.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, active listening, and collaboration skills.
- Able to handle confidential information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment.
- The position requires frequent use of technology systems, attention to detail, visual concentration, and communication by phone, in person, and in group settings.
- The employee must be able to manage multiple priorities, respond to interruptions, work under occasional pressure, and exercise sound judgment when supporting staff, troubleshooting systems, handling data, and meeting deadlines.
- The position requires sitting for extended periods, occasional standing, and frequent use of vision and hearing to perform essential job functions.
