About The Role
As a Data Analyst within the data feeds division, specifically focusing on Kepler, you will play a pivotal role in tracking over $45 billion in US consumer transactions across more than 600 merchants and 200 tickers. Kepler’s data feeds are instrumental for the world's leading investors to understand company performance, market trends, and competitive landscapes. These feeds support fundamental research and investment theses, as well as systematic trading strategies that integrate real-time data into quantitative models.
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in financial services, management consulting, data science, or high-growth tech environments.
- Expert proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or PySpark for building analysis workflows.
- Proven ability to quickly learn complex data methodologies and develop strong mental models of data systems.
- Experience leading complex, ambiguous projects involving multiple stakeholders, demonstrating ownership and action-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts, methodologies, and tradeoffs clearly and persuasively.
- Active use of AI tools and enthusiasm for leveraging AI to improve workflows and data quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the Kepler data content from end-to-end, ensuring high accuracy, reliability, and continuous value addition for clients.
- Address complex data challenges by refining methodologies, testing new datasets, and solving problems creatively, even with incomplete or ambiguous information.
- Utilize AI and automation tools to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and maintain high-quality standards in data processing.
- Develop prompts and automated evaluation processes to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of client-facing AI tools like the Kepler Insight Agent.
- Collaborate across teams—including Research, Engineering, and Product—to streamline workflows, develop best practices, and unblock project dependencies.
- Support clients by addressing high-complexity questions related to data anomalies and trends, providing insights that enhance their understanding and decision-making.
