About the role

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time DAS Technology Apprentice to join our team within the distributed antenna system (DAS) Technology Division. The DAS Technology Apprentice is a full-time position with opportunities to grow and expand your knowledge in DAS/Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Install coaxial, UTP, and fiber-optic cables throughout new and existing buildings.
  • Install DAS, Small Cell, and wired and wireless network devices under the supervision of the project foreman.
  • Install equipment racks in telecom closets.
  • Affix antennas and system components based on engineered design.
  • Perform maintenance & troubleshooting, under supervision.
  • Assist with completing connectivity and quality testing for coaxial, UTP, and fiber-optic cables.
  • Use and maintain hand tools, specialty tools, and mechanical equipment.
  • Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
  • Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
  • Actively contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrates dependability with regular attendance and compliance to scheduled work hours.
  • Occasional travel. ~25% or less.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general construction and the use of hand and some power tools.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Great Customer service and communication skills.
  • Have a desire to progress in Information Technology Systems Division (ITS).
  • Valid Drivers License and a Clean background.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Skills

  • Basic coaxial and structured cabling principles.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am – 4:30pm and Fridays 7:00am – 2:00pm.
