About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality In-Process Inspector to help ensure that maintenance is performed to strict safety and airworthiness standards.

Responsibilities

A quality in-process inspector will help to insure that maintenance is performed to strict safety and airworthiness standards by conducting inspections at various stages and reviewing records. They also ensure compliance with regulations and company procedures by checking components, materials, and workmanship throughout the production or repair process.

  • Perform daily in-process continuity inspections of repairs/repaired components
  • Inspect components for proper assembly by using and understanding component repair techniques and to assure they meet all approved data requirements
  • Coordinate with Engineering for documentation of repairs that exceed repair data
  • Use and interpret manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and engineering drawings
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment by using a variety of electronic ohm meters, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Assure proper inspection records, inspection continuity sheets, temperature cure reports, and forms have been properly executed from receiving inspection, through in process and prior to return to service
  • Create additional discrepancies found during the inspection processes
  • Computer data entry
  • Monitor and perform inspection requests made by Maintenance Technicians
  • Research a variety of I.C.A. data
  • Communicate discovered quality occurrences with other Inspectors/Supervisors

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent required
  • A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate/s preferred
  • 5 years relevant to FAA 145 Repair Station aircraft/component sheet metal structural, metal to metal and composite bonding repair maintenance/inspections
  • Experience navigating various computer electronic maintenance recording systems (such as Corridor)
  • Experience accessing a variety of Aviation OEM data portals, Microsoft Windows computer systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, & internal company networking computer file systems

Qualifications

We’re looking for a team player who is self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have the ability to attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments, notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work, and have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Working Conditions

The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area. Varied positions around components. Physical requirements include routine sitting, standing, walking, and lifting (50 lbs. min.). Mental requirements include understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines, troubleshooting or evaluating system operation, and working with others in a professional manner.
