Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards
- Use measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to confirm dimensional accuracy and functional performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions accurately
- Identify, label, and properly control non-conforming material in designated Quality Hold areas
- Record inspection results and test findings clearly, accurately, and completely
- Partner with production, warehouse, shipping, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and reduce scrap or rework
- Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to quality-focused decision-making on the production floor
- Perform additional shift coverage as needed, with advance notice and supervisor approval
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required; quality certification is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using standard inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and math/measurement ability
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and ability to learn digital quality systems
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is a plus
