Dangerous Goods Clerk (A Shift)

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of dangerous goods shipping requirements.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or transportation environments.
• Ability to follow regulatory procedures and detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven background in the shipping or logistics industry.
• Strong PC skills, particularly in MS Office, with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.

Requirements

• A Shift: Sunday- Tuesday 6 AM- 6PM; every other Saturday 6 AM- 2 PM.
• Able to work in a shift pattern that includes Sundays, Tuesdays, Saturdays, and alternate Saturdays.

Skills

• Knowledge of DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
• Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and maintaining shipping documentation.
• Ability to verify classification, labeling, marking, and packaging of dangerous goods shipments.
• Experience supporting audits, inspections, and internal reviews related to dangerous goods compliance.
• Strong record-keeping and filing skills.
• Ability to report potential compliance issues, incidents, or discrepancies to leadership.
• Experience assisting with investigations and documentation related to incidents or non-conformances.
• Experience coordinating and tracking training for dangerous goods requirements.
• Compliance with established safety procedures.
