Dams, Levees, Civil Works Team Lead

About the role

The DLCW Leader role within HDR's Water Business Group focuses on managing dam, levee, civil works, and flood risk management projects in Kentucky and Tennessee. The position involves planning and directing teams, building and maintaining client relationships, participating in project development, and contract document preparation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct DLCW team within Kentucky/Tennessee
• Support the DLCW Business Class Lead in building and maintaining client relations
• Participate in project development and contract document preparation
• Mentor junior-level staff across various disciplines including hydrology, hydraulics, structural, geology, geotechnical, civil, mechanical, CADD, and GIS
• Coordinate projects with inter-related disciplines and HDR's other regional and corporate business class technical leads and advisors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 10 years of experience
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required

Preferred Qualifications

• Actively engaged in professional or industry associations
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, GIS, and CADD
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundation response software
• Experience with Bentley suite of geotechnical data management and visualization software
• Knowledge of advanced numerical modeling techniques and commercial software
