About the role
The Dairy Manager position is responsible for assisting customers in their shopping experience by properly stocking shelves and displays in an efficient, friendly, and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Know and implement the Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
- Quickly unload and sort incoming shipments and neatly stock them in their designated areas without damaging merchandise.
- Keep back room and cooler/freezer areas neat and ready for new deliveries.
- Quickly and neatly stock grocery shelves by matching item UPCs codes to shelf tags and using the “face front” display method.
- Support the inventory process by accurately counting and recording merchandise.
- Change shelf tags, change price markers on displays, and label/price mark any merchandise with missing UPC codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and coworkers by monitoring products for any damaged, un-saleable, or returnable items and following proper procedures for damage claims.
- Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
- Monitor all expiration dates and ensure that ad items are properly rotated.
- Actively work to keep your work area and your department is clean and safe for customers and coworkers.
- Comply with health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
- Demonstrate basic math and reading skills required for the position.
- Accurately and courteously answer customer questions.
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.
Requirements
- Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

- Essential: Reach overhead with both arms up to a maximum of 74 inches, twist at the waist, lift objects with both hands weighing up to 20 lbs, push and pull grocery items to the proper locations as needed, up to a peak force of 35 lbs, stand and walk for long periods of time on tile, asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces, bend and squat, at times all the way to floor level, and work in colder conditions of the grocery coolers and freezers.
