DA Administrative Victim/Witness Coordinator - DISTRICT ATTORNEY
About the role
Performs advanced administrative tasks and provides victim assistance duties. Coordinates, validates, and calculates information regarding crime impact on victims for the purpose of determining restitution and assisting citizens through the criminal justice system during the pendency of a criminal case.
Responsibilities
- Securely Manage Victim/Witness And Visitor Contact
- Hand out expungement and consumer packets and collect and distribute completed paperwork to be picked up.
- Respond to a variety of contacts with crime victims and witnesses, Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs), victim service providers, and others to provide assistance as needed.
- Log effective case notes in JustWare regarding handling and actions.
- Observe visitors to the office and notify Investigations of escalating or unsafe situations.
- Obtain And Record Restitution
- Collect restitution from victims, insurance agencies and businesses.
- Generate and E-file motions to endorse.
- Manage and maintain the Visitor Aware Excel spreadsheet and Visitor Aware system database, ensuring timely and accurate updates regarding employees, visitors, banned visitors, and scheduled office visits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, including or supplemented by administrative subjects and/or bookkeeping.
- Two years of experience providing administrative support in an office setting, or any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Five years of experience in an office setting with knowledge of court. Associate degree in accounting, business, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
