D2 Material Process Operator

The Material Process Operator (MPO) is responsible for the production of cat litter and may work in the Mixing and/or Production departments. The role involves working a 12-Hour Shift (4:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Thursday through Saturday & every 3rd Sunday.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Loading, unloading and transporting raw materials, equipment and supplies from semi-trailers and railcars
- Tending to and operating machines that package products
- Adding and removing supplies and/or product from line
- Inspecting product before, during and after filling by performing quality checks
- Making equipment adjustments and clearing jams on equipment
- Operating the palletizer
- Entering data in computer and monitoring the instrumentation including computer data entry
- Troubleshooting the pneumatic, mechanical and electrical equipment when malfunctions occur
- Providing routine and preventative maintenance
- Providing housekeeping to the work area
- Preparing reports, training manuals and conducting training sessions, as needed
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be able to work with heavy stationary and/or moving equipment and conveyors, and have concentration on the tasks at hand as well as an awareness of the overall operation.
