About the role
The Materials Handler II provides workflow and exception solutions to the operations team, working closely with management to ensure quality, accuracy, and process reliability. This role is responsible for root cause analysis and addressing orders that do not ship within the desired lead time.
Responsibilities
- Collect work/orders blocked due to exceptions based on priorities given from leadership.
- Analyze error logs, resolve issues, and report unresolved issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure on-time shipping and delivery.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies for root cause.
- Coach and train associates to resolve exceptions when possible.
- Work closely with the leadership team to expedite high-priority orders and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze WIP reports to ensure orders are released timely and follow up with the operations team to confirm on-time shipping.
- Act as the subject matter expert for WIP reports.
- Collaborate with IT and support teams to expedite high-priority orders and ensure accuracy.
- Create a sense of urgency for the team to meet forecasted requirements.
- Complete projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by leadership.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
- Self-starter and team player.
