Responsibilities
- Perform chromosome analysis and FISH analysis on hematologic and paraffin-embedded tissue cancer specimens.
- Sample processing from set up to slide preparation.
- Maintain laboratory quality control and assurance measures. Perform equipment maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, plus three years of related experience.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure form the New York Dept of Education OR must be eligible for a NYS issued training certificate, permit or license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 5+ years of cytogenetic lab experience preferably in a cancer setting.
- ASCP licensure.

- Possesses appropriate computer skills to accomplish tasks.
- Motivated to work independently and within a team environment.
