Cycle Counter

About the role

We are immediately hiring a Cycle Counter in Flint, MI for our Supply Chain Solutions division. The Cycle Counter will be responsible for operational functions, including independent decision making related to material availability and inventory control for the General Motors LLP Account.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery performance to support production requirements
• Serve as the main point of contact for all suppliers and provide direction regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plans when behind schedule
• Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plans to ensure no interruptions or downtime to the manufacturing line
• Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, including requests for spot buys if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants)
• Independently monitor, set up, and cancel truck loads for material pick-up as necessary to support schedule variations
• Review part buffers to ensure they cover build requirements (Metal Centers and Powertrain)
• Document and manage S and AV code exceptions (Assembly Plants), including Alarm Interval maintenance; determine root-cause and take appropriate action
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments where necessary; investigate and process record adjustment requests from the previous shift
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• One (1) year or more of administrative experience preferred
• Five (5) years or more of relevant experience strongly recommended

Pay

Annual Salary: $50,000 per year based on experience

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (must be flexible)
