About the role
We are currently seeking an Inventory Cycle Counter to join our Inventory team. The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for conducting cycle counts, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining detailed records of stock levels. This role plays a critical part in minimizing discrepancies and supporting efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled cycle counts within required timeframes.
- Achieve a cycle count accuracy rate of 98% when comparing physical counts to system records.
- Reduce recurring discrepancies through consistent monitoring and follow-up.
- Maintain an overall inventory accuracy rate of 98% across assigned areas.
- Ensure timely updates to inventory records following counts, adjustments, or stock movements.
- Support variance correction activities with minimal rework required.
- Identify and report discrepancies within 24 hours of discovery.
- Investigate root causes and provide clear documentation to management.
- Contribute to reducing inventory discrepancies by 5% per quarter.
- Work effectively with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage, labeling, and tracking of goods.
- Support process improvements that enhance inventory flow and reduce errors.
- Maintain strong communication with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date inventory logs, count sheets, and adjustment reports.
- Submit required reports on time.
- Ensure documentation meets audit and compliance standards.
- Adhere to operational procedures and contribute to a safe, organized warehouse environment.
Requirements/Ideal Attributes
- In-depth, firsthand knowledge and experience with inventory cycle counting and desktop applications, including MS Dynamics 365 F&O, MS Office - MS Word and Excel.
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions.
- Able to work in a team and independently.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written (read, write) clearly in English.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
- Flexible working weekends and extended periods of time when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: years of experience, skill set and location. Total compensation includes profit sharing bonus potential, 401k matching, and a variety of other benefits (details can be found here).
