About the role
The Cybersecurity IT Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing complex IT projects within a high-stakes cybersecurity environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in program management methodologies, and a deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of IT projects, including risk management and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
- Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Facilitate communication between team members and stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive capacity.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects in a cybersecurity context.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote/flexible work environment.
Qualifications
- CISSP certification preferred.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Microsoft Teams.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and security best practices.
- Understanding of data privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.
