Cybersecurity Engineer III - Full-Time

About the role

This position focuses on developing and authoring DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts, conducting system testing, and applying cybersecurity policies and standards to secure Navy tactical systems. You will contribute to mission-critical systems, collaborate with talented teams, and develop innovative solutions in a supportive, employee-owned environment.

Responsibilities

• Document system security from a cybersecurity perspective.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and lead risk analyses.
• Function as an ISSO (Information System Security Officer) for specific systems.
• Develop and author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Conduct system testing in alignment with cybersecurity policies and standards.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• At least two years of program-specific security engineering experience on Navy systems or five years of general security engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred certifications: CASP, Security+, or CISSP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field (preferred).

Skills

• Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Technical security testing and system engineering.
