On-site at NSWC Dahlgren, supporting Navy combat systems through RMF Assessment & Authorization, continuous monitoring, and security testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain RMF A&A packages for DoD systems.
- Author DoD Cybersecurity artifacts (e.g., SSP, SAR, POA&M).
- Document systems using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio).
- Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and NSA security recommendations.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and lead security test events.
- Serve as Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for security-related matters.
- Develop risk-mitigation plans and support cybersecurity policy development for Navy combat systems.
- Execute continuous monitoring and system testing to ensure ongoing security compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of security engineering experience with Navy tactical systems or 5 years of general security engineering experience.
- Understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, system specifications, and communication protocols.
- Preferred certifications: CASP, Security+, or CISSP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field preferred.

Pay
$100,000 – $156,000 per year.
