Cybersecurity Associate – Flexible Location
About the role
Clark Hill is seeking a Cybersecurity Associate with 3-5 years of experience to sit in any of our office locations. Candidates should have experience in privacy, cybersecurity, internet, and computer law. A technical background or general understanding of technology and electronic systems is required. Data security incident notification and breach response experience are also required.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on cybersecurity and privacy issues
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts related to cybersecurity
- Respond to data security incidents and breaches
- Work closely with clients to understand their cybersecurity needs and provide tailored solutions
- Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging cybersecurity trends and regulations
- Prepare and present legal opinions and memoranda to clients
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure comprehensive client service
Requirements
- Currently licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in privacy, cybersecurity, internet, and computer law
- Technical background or general understanding of technology and electronic systems
- Data security incident notification and breach response experience
- Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible to respond to urgent matters quickly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Client management and crisis management skills
Qualifications
- Legal degree from an accredited law school
- Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience
- Experience in cybersecurity and privacy law
- Technical background or general understanding of technology and electronic systems
- Data security incident notification and breach response experience

Pay
The salary range at the time of posting is $175,000 - $185,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data.
