Cyber Intrusion Analyst

About the role

Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is seeking 5 Cyber Intrusion Analysts for initial 12‑month contracts onsite in Pearl Harbor, HI, supporting an enterprise DOD/DISA program.

Responsibilities

• Perform network incident detection and response activities to detect, correlate, identify and characterize anomalous activity.
• Monitor security tools and applications (Splunk and Elastic primarily).
• Conduct near real‑time event triage.
• Analyze logs.
• Perform network traffic analysis using raw packet data, NetFlow, IDS, IPS and custom sensor output.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of overall experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active Secret clearance required; active Top‑Secret clearance preferred.
• Prior experience performing CND duties (Protect, Defend, Respond, Sustain), including configuring firewalls, IDS/IPS, auditing network traffic, hardening devices and implementing security policies.
• Command‑line scripting experience with PERL, Python and/or Shell scripting to automate tasks.
• Experience monitoring IDS and computer defense appliances (Splunk, Elastic).
• Experience evaluating packet captures.
• Prior experience supporting DOD‑related projects or programs.

Pay

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $49 – 84 /hr. The posted range is an estimate; actual compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
