Responsibilities
- Provide information assurance oversight, guidance and support to the customer community in accordance with Federal, Department of Defense, and U.S. Air Force Information Assurance programs.
- Ensure applicable systems/networks/computing environments meet security requirements and that all security risks for those environments are properly mitigated.
- Provide technical and programmatic information assurance/cyber security services in support of system-level certification and accreditation processes.
- Provide support in Network Boundary Proxy and Firewall exceptions.
- Track and manage all open security-related problem reports and fixes.
- Provide necessary support for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) requirements as well as re-accreditation requirements.
- Ensure configuration management for systems/networks/computing systems and hardware is documented and maintained.
- Review all Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) alerts, bulletins and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS) for applicable implementation and remediation in the customer’s network/computing environment(s).
- Create, review and update standard operating procedures and AF Checklists.
- Review FFRDC System Security Plans.
- Assist with TEMPEST certification for Classified Processing Areas.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in IT and systems support.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
- Must be Security+ CE certified.
- Strong knowledge of Air Force, DoD and applicable Federal Information Assurance/Cyber Security Directives and Instructions.
- Knowledge of cyber security including the RMF process and Cyber Defense.
- Experience with SharePoint; Windows Desktop Operating Systems; Windows Server Operating Systems; Active Directory; and MS Office.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow.
- Proficient with Computer and Server Hardware.
- Able to capture and report metrics.
- Able to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Must have strong team partnership and customer service skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong communication skills.
- Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
