Cyber/Data/Privacy Attorney: 4th-6th year (lit)

About the role

The Cyber/Data/Privacy (c/d/p) practice group at Cooley is seeking a midlevel associate with 4-6 years of experience focusing on regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies), and/or data privacy and security class actions.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
• Defend data privacy and security class actions
• Work on regulatory investigations and enforcement matters
• Handle consumer protection issues involving State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies

Requirements

• High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• General tech fluency

Qualifications

• Experience focusing on regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies)
• Well-versed in defending data privacy and security class actions

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to handle complex legal issues
• Effective communication and client engagement skills

Pay

The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
