About the role
The Cyber/Data/Privacy (c/d/p) practice group at Cooley is seeking a midlevel associate with 4-6 years of experience focusing on regulatory investigations or litigation involving consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies), and/or data privacy and security class actions.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients and lead significant projects
- Defend data privacy and security class actions
- Work on regulatory investigations and enforcement matters
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to address complex legal challenges
Requirements
- High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- General tech fluency
Qualifications
- Experience in consumer protection issues (State AG, FTC, and other regulatory agencies)
- Experience in defending data privacy and security class actions
Skills
- Strong research and writing abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills

Pay
The expected annual pay range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000. Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
