Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility of a precast plant including production and delivery of products, employee oversight, management of assets, risk management, and financial performance.
  • Ensure safety of all employees and compliance with EHS and state/federal regulations.
  • Establish goals, communicate expectations, and build a culture of accountability, commitment, and empowerment.
  • Cultivate a climate for open communication and provide developmental opportunities.
  • Identify and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve results.
  • Oversee inventory control, production, customer service, and distribution of products.
  • Review financial statements, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and set improvement plans.
  • Report to General Manager on challenges and plan to resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop and build teams through mutual trust, respect, and cooperation; identify potential in personnel; sponsor, mentor, and ensure development.
  • Collaborate with customers, government, community organizations, and employees to enforce ethical business practices.
  • Work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Project Management, Human Resources, and Sales to meet facility goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, select, orient, train, coach, and counsel direct reports; communicate values, strategies, and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor of Science, Engineering, or Business, or related field preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience in a managerial role in a manufacturing or construction environment, precast experience a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Experience in applying LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and production methods.
  • Thorough knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
