CV Take-Up Operator-Crew 2- Night Shift

About the role

This position operates Conveying equipment in continuous vulcanization (CV) extruder line (CV3), including the Aluminum draw Block Machine and Ultrasonic Washer. The responsibilities include Pay Offs, Take ups, clean rooms, conductor welders and aluminum draw block operations.

Responsibilities

• Complies with company safety rules and ensures the safety of self and others at operating station.
• Keeps equipment and workstation clean and orderly.
• Works professionally, punctually, and highly dependably.
• Mechanically sets up wire handling equipment of CVs, understands pay offs, take ups, valves, and raw material handling equipment.
• CV3: Mechanically sets up AL Draw Block and Ultrasonic Washer, performs pay-off and take-up operations, installs appropriate tooling (dies) and auxiliary line equipment.
• Maintains continuous operation by ensuring adequate supply of raw materials.
• Utilizes conductor welder to keep line running.
• Operates forklift truck and/or reel handling equipment.
• Uses company-approved measuring devices to ensure all extrusion process aspects meet or exceed required specifications.
• Generates product identification tags and maintains accurate record keeping and data collection for Hendrix.
• Completes Take-Up Operator Training and Evaluation Checklists and performs related tasks.
• Collaborates with CV operators on corrective actions to ensure quality product.
• Attends CV team meetings and participates in continuous improvement projects.
• Maintains ISO certification.
• Adheres to applicable System Level Procedures (SLPs).
• Assumes the role of Emergency Action Warden for sector 10 if necessary.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 - 50 pounds from floor to chest.
• Maneuver up to a 96” reel with proper reel handling equipment.
• Climb several flights of stairs to CV workstation.
• Exert 25 pounds of force with cable cutters.
• Visually inspect quality of product.
• Use handheld tools and measuring devices.

Pay

• Regular Shift (Post-Training): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Training Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Weekday) or 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Weekend)
• Eligible for 16-hour shift premium pay

Schedule

• Regular Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Training Shift Options: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
