Operations Superintendent B Crew (Night Shift)
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to join our Operations Superintendents team. The successful candidate will lead a team in Sellersburg, Indiana, responsible for night shift operations. This role requires a proven track record in leading and developing teams, as well as hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assess, guide, manage, and prioritize all aspects of the shop floor operation.
Adhere to production schedules to meet customer requirements.
Lead department meetings, support and promote continual improvement projects.
Manage the shift supervisors while directing the shop floor operations.
Promote high morale, teamwork, pride, productivity, and quality among team members.
Communicate with Supervisors by updating them on information affecting the efficient and safe operation of the shop floor.
Comply with company policies and procedures, adhere to quality requirements, and support customer presentations.
Foster a safety-first environment to achieve safety goals and objectives.
Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Observe and follow the rules, regulations, and directions of the Employee Handbook.
Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience leading and developing teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Demonstrated success in building employee capability and preparing team members for advancement succession.
Hands-on experience with continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., process improvements, efficiency gains, Lean/Six Sigma projects, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), including tracking, interpreting data, and driving performance improvements.
Able to use data to identify gaps, implement solutions, and deliver measurable results.
Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing or management discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years related experience in automotive/JIT/sequencing assembly or manufacturing environment.
Excellent leadership abilities, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient in computer skills.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required.
Up to 5% travel required.
