Production Operator (Night Shift)-2

Responsibilities

• Overall maintenance of a production line, including starting and stopping of all equipment (palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, drop packers, injection, etc.) as applicable.
• Perform minor adjustments to production equipment as directed, with prior approval for mechanical work.
• Able to recognize and report unsafe conditions and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and machine operations.
• Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including break rooms and rest rooms.
• Bale plastic, cardboard, and contaminated bottles as needed; grind bottles when necessary.
• Keep raw materials (bottle caps, labels, cartons, trays, tray and pallet wraps, pallet glue for hot melt tanks, slip sheets, etc.) in adequate amounts to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards, filling out hourly inspection sheets based on overall production quality.
• Recognize and report all quality defects immediately.
• Work in multiple areas of production with minimal supervision, performing relief duties when required.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor production equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance team as necessary.
• Understanding of computer systems such as Oracle/MES or current order management system.
• Comprehend line flow and manufacturing process to maximize throughput.
• Communicate issues clearly and concisely.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the position.
• Minimum 0 years of experience managing people/projects.
• Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
• Preferred: 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
• Preferred: 4 years of experience working in the position.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience managing people/projects.
