Responsibilities
- Receive documents and prepare customs entries in Customsware or other customs software.
- Understand the elements of the Import & Export Customs SOP.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operating systems.
- Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments and monitor clearances.
- Communicate with customers regarding customs clearances.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service by anticipating, understanding, and meeting needs proactively. Resolve issues promptly, including escalating to management when necessary.
- Build rapport and exhibit empathy during interactions to improve customer satisfaction (both externally and internally).
- Consistently complete quality work that matches job expectations, committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, code of business conduct, and government regulations.
- Meet deadlines reliably, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Collaborate with team members, aiding others without request to benefit the company and customers.
- Communicate professionally (verbal and written) both internally and externally, providing timely and relevant information.
- Answer phone calls and respond to voicemails, emails, and other communications according to Expeditors' standards.

- Participate in training and complete at least 52 hours of relevant training per year. Pursue professional development goals, including participating in a development plan as appropriate.
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow according to Expeditors' operational procedures and customer SOPs. Proactively notify customers of any issues.
- Consistently meet KPI standards as per company procedures.
- Monitor exception reports for quick data integrity resolution.
- Invoice customers accurately and timely according to Expeditors and customer requirements.
- Properly provision service provider charges to avoid reserves and follow credit approval processes to minimize risk.
Requirements
- Global logistics industry knowledge.
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word).
- Fluent in English.

Pay
Base Pay Range: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Physical Demands
- Use of standard office equipment: computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.
- Writing with pencil/pen/marker.
- Functions performed primarily while seated at a desk.
Reporting Structure: Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
