Customs Analyst

Job Description Our client, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Customs Analyst to support import/export compliance and trade operations in Spartanburg, SC. This role is responsible for ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, managing documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams with duty optimization and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of customs regulations, HTS classification, and experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and import/export requirementsPerform and maintain accurate HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinationsReview and validate shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, transport documents)Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely declarationsManage import/export documentation, including USMCA certificates and origin documentationPrepare and track filings within CBP systems (ACE portal)Support duty optimization strategies, including tariff programs and trade agreementsConduct post-entry corrections and support compliance auditsPartner with supply chain, purchasing, and logistics teams on customs-related activitiesProvide reporting and analysis to support business decisions and compliance initiativesSupport continuous improvement and ensure adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards Qualifications 3+ years of experience in customs compliance, import/export, or related roleStrong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and trade complianceExperience with CBP systems (ACE portal) and ABI filing preferredExperience in the automotive industryExperience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)Customs Broker License preferred but not requiredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Why Is This a Great Opportunity One of the world's largest automotive suppliers, offering long-term stability, career growth opportunities, and exposure to innovative technologies while maintaining a collaborative, people-focused culture.Strong employee benefits and work-life balance Salary Type : Annual Salary Salary Min : $ 60000 Salary Max : $ 70000 Currency Type : USD
