Customer Transformation Specialist

Auger · Dallas, TX · Yesterday
On-siteOTHR$180k–$220k/yrFull-time

About the Role

Customer Transformation is the team responsible for delivering value from Auger’s autonomous supply chain operating system. In this role, you join a deployment pod, take a workstream, and own it end-to-end: the plan, the meetings, the follow-through, and the number it has to move. The work is fast-paced, demanding, and involves heavy travel. You will be on-site with customers, embedded in their operations, running a schedule that cross-functional teams depend on. You will chase down unresolved questions, write precise requirements for engineers, and ensure your workstream directly impacts live enterprise accounts where the customer has already paid for an outcome. This role is designed to develop Auger’s future leaders by immersing you in customers' operations, where real learning happens.

Responsibilities

  • The Plan and the Pace: Own the schedule for your workstream, including milestones, dependencies, and deadlines. Proactively defend the timeline and address slippage before it becomes noticeable.
  • The Details Nobody Else Will Chase: Resolve the small, unresolved questions in every deployment (e.g., SKU hierarchy, forecast authority, data feed sign-offs). Track, drive decisions, and escalate unresolved issues within a week.
  • Requirements Precise Enough to Build From: Translate customer stories into specific, actionable requirements for engineers. Include named fields, systems, owners, and edge cases to eliminate follow-up meetings.
  • The Numbers on Your Workstream: Own the input measures for your workstream (e.g., forecast accuracy, service level, exception volume) and track their current values. Flag changes immediately and ensure visibility.
  • Communication That Ends Confusion: Write clear, concise updates for cross-functional teams and customer executives. Document decisions, owners, dates, risks, and next steps to eliminate ambiguity.

Requirements

  • Two to five years in a high-demand environment (e.g., military, top-tier consulting, banking analyst programs, startups, or operating roles where you carried real responsibility).
  • Evidence of grit under pressure: experience running a project that was behind, unclear, and yours to deliver.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to break down unfamiliar operational problems, quantify them, and defend your logic.
  • Speed: Learn new domains in weeks, not quarters, and prioritize shipping good answers quickly over perfect ones later.
  • Written precision: Write updates that are short, specific, and complete, eliminating the need for clarifying questions.
  • Hunger: Desire to advance and willingness to earn it through detail-oriented work on real accounts with real customers.
  • Comfort with directness: Ability to give and receive immediate, specific feedback without taking it personally.

Supply chain experience is helpful but not required. We will teach you the domain; drive cannot be taught.

What This Role Is (And Is Not)

This is not a rotational program, analyst pool, or support function. You will not take notes, build decks, or schedule meetings for others. From day one, you own real scope in front of real customers, and the deployment’s success depends partly on you. The learning curve is intentionally steep, and the standard is high. This role offers unparalleled experience—you will sit in rooms with VPs of Supply Chain, CIOs, and executive sponsors, expected to contribute a point of view, not just take notes.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $180,000 – $220,000 per year. Total compensation may include a competitive base salary and equity, with initial placement based on experience and qualifications.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Commuter benefits.
