About the role

The HVAC CSR/Inside Sales position is available at Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc.'s Allen, TX branch. This role involves selling the organization's products and services to both new and existing customers. Responsibilities include understanding customer needs, answering inquiries, creating solutions, and managing the sales process efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer needs through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails.
  • Process orders, manage purchase orders, handle payments, generate quotes, and ensure accurate delivery dates.
  • Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors to ensure timely shipments.
  • Provide product and technical information to customers to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor scheduled shipment dates and assist customers with warranties and returns.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve customer issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Reach out periodically to customers to gauge their satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
  • Keep records and prepare reports on sales activities.
  • Stay updated on HVAC products and industry trends to provide informed recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management and colleagues to ensure efficient teamwork and service delivery.

Requirements

Must have 1-3 years of progressive sales experience, general Microsoft Office skills, and a positive, professional attitude. Knowledge of HVAC equipment/products is preferred, along with good phone and email etiquette.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college education preferred. Must be able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
