The HVAC CSR/Inside Sales position at Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is available at our Topeka, KS branch. This role involves selling the organization's products and services to both new and existing customers. Duties include understanding and communicating the organization's policies, procedures, and products, as well as collaborating with managers to enhance territory coverage and maintain positive dealer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer needs through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails.
  • Process orders, manage purchase orders, handle payments, and provide quotes and delivery dates.
  • Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors to ensure timely shipments.
  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information.
  • Educate customers about product features and benefits to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep records and prepare reports on sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager to resolve customer issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Periodically contact customers to assess their satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
  • Use good judgment and strong work ethics to ensure effective teamwork and high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment/products is preferred.
  • General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Working knowledge of data base applications.
  • Effective and high-quality customer service/relationship management skills.
  • Positive, professional attitude, and ability to handle difficult customers.
  • Good phone and e-mail etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
  • Understand and follow work instructions, operating procedures, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • 1 – 3 years of progressive sales experience.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, some college preferred.
