Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate client and patient records, processing payments, and supporting the veterinary team with daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client inquiries
- Schedule wellness, sick, surgery, grooming, and boarding appointments
- Verify and update client and patient information
- Request and obtain medical records from previous veterinary hospitals
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Educate clients on preventive care, wellness services, and hospital protocols
- Assist with appointment confirmations and follow-up communications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Support the veterinary team to ensure efficient hospital operations
- Promote a positive and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required
- Veterinary or medical office experience preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Calm and comforting demeanor around animals and people
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Compassion for animals and the people who love them
