Job Responsibilities
This position will be housed in Columbus, GA and will perform a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions in support of the Columbus Health Dept clinic. You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- assisting patients with questions regarding available services and providing program information
- patient intake/data entry and verifying insurance information
- collecting fees for services rendered
- answering phones
- operating standard office equipment
- filing
- other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Public Health experience, administrative and/or medical office experience.
Additional Information
- All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency.
