About the role

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career. As a Customer Service Engineer 2, you will service DX Equipment in the Rochester, NY / Buffalo, NY area. The level is based on prior experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.
  • Manage financial performance within your territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management.
  • Manage company assets, including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts.
  • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as perform necessary administrative duties accurately.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma; technical Associate Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
  • Proficiency in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to drive independently day and night, and a good driving record.
  • Physical requirements: lifting 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting, squatting, standing, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Must demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources.
  • Strong competency in instrument systems technology, including mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology; experience with electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Diagnostics Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in the state where they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions, pending DUI/DWI charges, or other serious moving violations (unless prohibited by state/local law).

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $74,300–$102,168. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission-eligible position, commission eligibility will be in accordance with the Company’s plan and based on individual and/or company performance.

This position requires full access to Siemens Healthineers’ client sites to perform essential functions. Many clients require Siemens Healthineers employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements, which may include but are not limited to:
