About the role

We are seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Customer Service Agent in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is assisting passengers in boarding/disembarking flights, operating the Jetway, monitoring computerized passenger boarding, and guiding/parking aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
  • Maintain computerized passenger boarding
  • Aid customers with special needs, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors
  • Change customer flight itinerary and seat assignments as required
  • Operate the Jetway
  • Load and unload baggage and cargo
  • Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment
  • Guide and park aircraft
  • Perform cabin maintenance tasks
  • Work together as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives

Requirements

  • Successful completion of training course
  • Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high energy environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Organize, prioritize, and multitask

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Previous airline experience preferred
  • Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
  • Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly
  • Assist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs
