Customer Service Agent, Cross Functional (Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable professional to join our Ground Handling Department as a Customer Service Agent. The primary responsibility of the position is to assist passengers in boarding/disembarking flights, operate the Jetway, monitor computerized passenger boarding, and guide/park aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
• Maintain computerized passenger boarding
• Aid customers with special needs, including wheelchair arrangements and unaccompanied minors
• Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary
• Operate the Jetway
• Load and unload baggage and cargo
• Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment
• Guide and park aircraft
• Perform cabin maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional customer service and meet corporate objectives

Requirements

• Successfully complete the Customer Service Agent training course
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
• Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications and Competencies

• Completion of a training course
• Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high-energy environment
• Effective communication skills
• Organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous airline experience
• Previous experience as a front-line customer service provider
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Physical Requirements

• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
• Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly
• Assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs

Job Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clear driving record
• Clear 10-year Criminal History Records Check
• Drug screen as required
• Proof of high school or GED completion
• Minimum 18 years of age
