Customer Service Advisor 1 - Peachtree

About the role

This position is 100% in-office at the Peachtree Banking Center. The employee will work scheduled hours in this designated WesBanco location, fostering a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance.

Customer Service Advisors (CSA) provide excellent customer service, identify sales opportunities, and perform account transactions. CSAs recognize immediate banking center needs and proactively support both Customer Service Representative (CSR) and sales platform functions. The role focuses on building consumer and business relationships while promoting the Bank’s products and services, ensuring compliance with all established policies, procedures, and security measures.

Responsibilities

• Model the Bank’s Mission, Vision, and Pledge in daily interactions.
• Assess customer financial needs, make recommendations, and refer customers to business partners for product and service promotion.
• Process financial service transactions accurately, including opening new deposit accounts and operating a cash drawer while adhering to balancing, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Achieve production and referral goals through relationship-building activities such as customer consultations, outbound calls, business partner referrals, and onboarding efforts to acquire or expand customer relationships.
• Collaborate with branch staff to promote a team environment and meet banking center goals.
• Execute outbound calling activities using customer lists to promote bank products and make appropriate referrals.
• Educate the bank team on identifying opportunities to advance customer financial wellness.
• Support day-to-day operations, including customer service, open/close procedures, vault duties, cash control, inventory management, and compliance with audit requirements.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and address customer inquiries or issues professionally.
• Build relationships with internal business partners and seek constructive feedback.
• Exercise sound judgment, follow established guidelines, and use available resources for decision-making.
• Maintain security controls to protect against fraud and unnecessary risks, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Contribute to a team environment by handling incoming calls and performing additional duties to support banking center success.
• Engage in community service opportunities within the local market.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of one year of banking experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years of cash handling, sales, and customer service experience preferred.
