Customer Sales & Service Representative

About the role

Use your customer service skills to solve real-world problems in a Monday-through-Friday schedule with weekends and evenings free. As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll do more than take orders and field complaints—you’ll build ongoing business relationships with customers through repeated contact and consultation. Your ability to quickly and efficiently provide the right parts or solutions, especially during equipment breakdowns, will directly impact customer retention and satisfaction. Occasionally, you’ll use mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot customer problems. Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify customer needs, conduct research, and recommend parts (after training).
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders, and provide post-order service.

Requirements

• Self-motivated with a desire to exceed expectations.
• Strong prioritization, multitasking, and sense of urgency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar.
• Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with diverse customers.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and comfort with Google search.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP/ERP experience preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products or hydraulics preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
