Customer Quality Manager (Onsite)
Location: Melbourne, FL (onsite) – relocation assistance available. U.S. citizenship is required.
About the Role
Collins Aerospace is seeking a Customer Quality Manager (CQM) to support our Advanced Flight Systems. The CQM acts as the primary customer point of contact, primarily supporting Bombardier, focused on improving satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives. The CQM serves as the customer’s voice throughout the organization and leads a cross-functional team to resolve known issues and drive preventative actions to reduce quality escapes. This position will be in a multi-disciplinary team environment and requires hands-on problem-solving skills to address problems and implement appropriate design or process changes. There will be heavy customer interaction in this role to meet the needs and expectations of the customer.
Responsibilities
- Leads a cross-functional team including members from product quality, supply chain quality, manufacturing engineering, operations, design, and customer support.
- Develops and leads implementation of solutions to nonconformities and to satisfy quality issues raised by customers.
- Directs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and develops recommendations for corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
- Working with product design and specification, devises testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure a high level of product quality.
- Performs Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective action for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
- Leads customer audits/assessments when requested.
- Identifies and manages risk in product development primarily utilizing and driving PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, etc.).
- Develops proactive quality initiative strategies and drives their implementation.
- Reviews process control documentation to ensure compliance with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts.
Requirements
- University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Quality Management System(s) and Root Cause Analysis tools.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 5+ years in Aerospace with solid knowledge of Quality Assurance in production/manufacturing and new product development.
- FAA, EASA, and other regulatory authority knowledge with PMR/MRB, Corrective Action methodology experience.
- Certified in the appropriate ASQ Body of Knowledge (CQE, CQA, CRE, CPA).
- Experience interfacing directly with customers and presenting to senior-level leadership.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) with the ability to summarize complicated technical topics quickly and concisely.
- Ability to effectively lead a cross-functional team to drive quality improvement initiatives.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
