Customer Field Representative I

Responsibilities
- Provide “on premise” customer assistance throughout PSE service area.
- Advise customers of a need to sign for service.
- Gather reads from the meter.
- Discuss past due balances with customers.
- Report potential rate discrepancies.
- Report theft situations including tampering and energy diversion.
- Handle customer service disconnects and reconnects.
- Perform collection tasks.
- Disconnect single phase self-contained meters.
- Reconnect single phase self-contained meters.
- Work with customers throughout PSE service areas to obtain meter check reads, meter verifications, and resolve access problems.
- Perform similar and incidental duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license.
- One (1) year of customer field technician, maintenance, utility construction labor, or warehouse experience within the most recent three (3) years.
- Previous on-the-job professional driving experience desired.
Job Conditions and Physical Effort
The duties and responsibilities are performed in both an office and outdoor environment. The position generally involves:
- Occasional sitting, frequent standing, frequent walking.
- Light to moderate lifting and carrying.
- Frequent bending and reaching, occasional kneeling, twisting, balancing, climbing.
- Keyboard operation, telephone operation, and operation of tools and equipment.
- Working in a variety of weather conditions, including all noise levels and hazardous conditions.
- Working on a full range of outdoor work surfaces.
- Frequent use of protective clothing.
- Operation of a vehicle.
- May require irregular work schedule and overtime hours.
This job is under federal regulation by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and is subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings that include screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $33.74 per hour, and this position is eligible for annual goals-based incentive bonuses.
Schedule
Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
