Customer Engagement Applications Engineer

About the role

Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities. You will make presentations on all aspects of products, assist sales staff in assessing potential applications, and prepare detailed product specifications. The role includes implementing customer installation plans, providing follow-up support, training customers, and disseminating technical information. You will work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation, design of experiments, and communication between customers and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical applications support for KLA product development and implementation in customer fabrication facilities.
• Make presentations on all aspects of KLA products.
• Assist sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer technical requirements and prepare detailed product specifications.
• Implement customer installation plans.
• Provide follow-up support, including training customers and disseminating technical information on specific applications.
• Work on complex problems requiring analysis of situations or data, design of experiments, and communication between customers and specialists.
• Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Qualifications

• MS or Ph.D. preferred in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Optics, Material Science, or a related field.
• Experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry or equivalent experience and education.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
• Persistence and dedication to understanding and solving critical customer problems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Balance of technical skills and people skills; teamwork is critical.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of semiconductor device application and characterization.
• Familiarity with photolithography and overlay (IBO, DBO, SEM-OVL).
• Familiar with cleanroom protocols.

Minimum qualifications: Master's Level Degree and 0 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's Level Degree and 2 years of related work experience.

Pay

Base pay range: $83,100.00 – $141,300.00 annually.
