Customer Engagement Applications Engineer

About the role

The Field Applications Engineer based out of Phoenix, AZ plays a crucial role in supporting the sales efforts of KLA Technologies. This role involves providing technical expertise through presentations, product demonstrations, and installations, assisting in the assessment of customer needs, and developing detailed product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supports customer demonstrations and H2H activities at customer facilities.
• Investigates semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and provides inspection solutions.
• Creates and shares product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing, and sales groups.
• Trains customers and other applications engineers.
• Works on new product introductions and characterizations, beta testing, and early evaluation tools.
• Collaborates with customers to develop solutions to problems and publishes papers at industry symposiums or in technical journals.
• Characterizes next-generation semiconductor wafer inspection products, including crafting test plans, collecting data, performing analysis, and publishing results.

Qualifications

• High energy, dedicated, and motivated engineer with interest in High Tech.
• Strong background in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with high levels of accountability.
• Background in IC processing or Semiconductor equipment is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the US.
