Job Description

This position reports to an Engineer in the Field Assurance Department. This department is responsible for fielding of customer complaints about products. The complaints may come from patients, health care providers including physicians, nurses, or other health care staff. This department investigates the root cause of failure from an engineering perspective.

This position will be responsible for helping to process customer complaints, aiding in the investigation of root cause analysis, and will assist with engineering activities including decontamination/processing of returned medical devices, collect data, analyze data and prepare reports, and processing of customer complaints.

This position will process customer complaint data and create and update Excel reporting of customer complaint data. Emphasis will be placed on accuracy and timeliness of data entry and processing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.
  • Working competence in Word Processing, Excel spreadsheets, presentation, and other software programs along with good letter composition skills.

Mandatory Skills

  • Ability to learn new databases with guided training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite and general computer skills.
  • Grammar, writing and editing skills and proofreading competency.
  • Excellent organizational and functional skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality about information received in the course of duties in compliance with HIPPA regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work in an organized manner.
  • Functions well under pressure.
