Custodian (Overnight Shift)

About the role

The role involves cleaning and maintaining university facilities, including classrooms, dormitories, and administrative offices. Duties include vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks in assigned areas
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all assigned areas
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Participate in regular training sessions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for overnight shifts)
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in custodial work
• Experience working in higher education environments
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Skills

• Proficiency in using cleaning tools and equipment
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
