About the role
The Custodian III performs highly complex custodial duties in a healthcare setting, primarily in laundry and hospital environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of hospital buildings, treatment units, and patient areas to ensure safety and infection control standards.
- Coordinate and execute dusting, mopping, waxing floors, and waste disposal using proper chemicals and equipment.
- Inspect facilities, identify maintenance needs, and assist in minor repairs and supply restocking.
- Maintain records of supplies and equipment, and support safety and infection control programs.
- Participate in disaster response and Continuity of Operations efforts, possibly working alternate shifts or locations.
Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, with some positions requiring 21. Background checks, drug screening, and immunizations are mandatory.
Skills
- Experience in custodial or environmental services, preferably in healthcare or residential facilities.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, and inventory control.
- Skills in operating custodial tools and chemicals, following instructions, and maintaining equipment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods, and work irregular hours.
